12/27/2023 Sebewaing River & Marina Fishing Report
The Perch have started biting in the river over the last few days. It's not been a fast and furious bite. If you're willing and put in the time you'll catch a mess of fish. We had a nice batch of 20 or so caught behind the building today, with two fishing. We are still seeing some nice Perch being caught off the docks as well. You will throw more back than you'll keep, have to sort through the nice ones. Perch rigs, fly rigs and jigging have all been producing Perch.
The Crappies are starting to bite off the Docks and around the walls toward the back of the Marina by the Bathhouse building. The best bite has been with Minnows off small jigs or snelled hooks with slip bobbers.
The Bluegills are still biting, we saw a nice little mess caught yesterday afternoon while fishing from the docks. Tungsten jigs and small lead heads are working great. If Wax worms aren't working, try some minnows or soft plastics.
The Marina is packed full of Minnows, the thickest we've seen so far this year but the fish are still biting.
Alexander's Bait & Tackle is freshly stocked with Perch and Walleye Minnows, Wax Worms, Red & White Spikes, Leaf Worms and even have some Nightcrawlers left.
