A Fishing Family

With the idea of wholesaling to other bait and tackle shops, we began making Perch rigs, snelled hooks, and sinkers. When I was growing up fishing on Fletcher's Pond, my grandfather taught me how to make little bluegill rigs and how to tie hooks. After being laid off and my father being injured while working, we decided to open a bait and tackle store based on our wholesale tackle dreams.

In 2006, Alexander's Bait & Tackle opened in our garage in Caro. Three years later, we relocated to the Sebewaing Marina, and business has been thriving since then. Our bait shop has continued to grow and expand, now offering a full array of Terminal Tackle for all your fishing needs. From Walleye Trolling gear to Panfish lures, we have it all. Plus, check out our wide selection of Bass fishing tackle and lures. And don't forget about our specialty items like Custom Painted Crawler Harnesses and handcrafted Perch Rigs. In the past 15 years, we would never have dreamed that we would have a full bait and tackle shop. Our customers become great friends and almost like family as we serve the local community and surrounding areas as well as all over the state. After adding more wall space and displays, we quickly ran out of room. To think, it all started sitting in a 14 foot boat on Fletchers Pond.
